sometimes you read a book and you wish you could frame all of these sentences and words and jumbles of letters so you could stare at them all day and not feel like they deserve a life of their own and you’re the VILLAIN-FULL-OF-EVILNESS for not being able to give it to them.
sometimes you also wish thoughts could be more coherent things instead of jumbled messes of screeching obsessions that are famous for not making any sense.
but life is disappointing in some ways.
those aforementioned two come under the unfortunate category.
it’s a well-known fact that books rule the word and take over lives when they feel like it. it’s also a well-known fact that such books are my one and only weakness.

One of the worst things that can ever happen to a smol and dedicated bookworm is when a book off their ‘most-excited-to-read-because-its-assumed-perfection-might-lead-to-brain-combustion-abd-maybe-I-love-that’ shelf ends up being A. MAJOR. DISAPPOINTENT.
And then the bookworm in question softly sobs into their pillow instead of all the gushing and talking-people’s-ears-off-so-as-to-torture-them-into-reading-said-book they’d assumed they would be doing. IT’S SAD, honestly. Because the world has ended like that. In a way. ITS SAD OK?? It can also be the #1 reason why aforementioned bookworm might choose the evil path and become the villain of their story. (10000/10 recommend this existential crisis if you’re trying to become a villain, by the way)

So. Some of you little olives might be wondering where I’d disappeared to.
Or maybe not because you don’t care enough *sobs* THE BETRAYAL!!! THE BETRAYAL! But I like to assume someone still cares someone? anyone? no? *continues sobbing* SO RUDE, and so I come prepared to answer you with… um… excuses?

- NaNoWriMo! I’m humiliatingly behind on my word count goal, but IT HAS BEEN SO MUCH FUN! And what can I say, I’ve been busy writing or the lack thereof. shhh, you do not give away my secrets like that and blogging has been pushed back, back, back, to the very back of the dusty dark little cupboard filled to the brim with human eating spiders. We’ll leave it at that.
- Exams! And school! With offline school starting and exams taking over my existence, it has been BUSY, but exams are now over *cheers* studying is forgotten until the end of the year when we shall all start stressing over undone biology assignments together, and BASICALLY I’M BACK HERE FILLED WITH SO MUCH EXCITEMENT.
- I’ve been reading! After terrible reading months of 2 books *runs away* I’ve been trying to make some time to read because I do not like being humiliated like that. And it’s actually been going pretty good! And that brings us to the main reason of writing this post (apart from telling you how disappointed I am that no one missed me, obviously) I HAVE FOUND A NEW FAVORITE BOOK TO CONTINUE MY OBSESSION OVER AND TORTURE PEOPLE INTO READING! Welcome the one and only – Not my Problem by Ciara Smyth! (READ IT)
MY FIRST EVER BLOG TOUR!!!
For lack of anything better to say, let me just welcome you to my blog and my tour stop for City of Shattered Light by Claire Winn and no, I am DEFINITELY NOT skipping the intro because I do not want to talk about how I’ve pretty much disappeared from the blogosphere for the past week or so. Thank you to the Author, Netgalley and TBR and Beyond Tours for providing me with an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I AM CONFUSED.
And I don’t mean confused by the plot or the mystery. I am confused in my own opinions regarding this book. One moment i loved it so much i was fangirling and screaming so hard, and the next, i was screaming again. But this time because i was irritated? At some point I thought this was going to be my new favorite book but the next second i thought it wasn’t THAT amazing. Ugh. I KNOW I DON’T MAKE SENSE RIGHT NOW. NO NEED TO RUB IT IN, okay?
